Idea and Inspiration
For this project, I have decided to create an online graphic for my blog. This relates to the topic of sustainable fashion. The idea was to choose one piece of timeless clothing and to style it in three different ways. The clothing item I chose was a beige blazer. Purchasing timeless pieces can go long ways when you can style it in many different ways besides wearing it to a business meeting or a job interview. The purpose of this graphic design was to display other items of clothing you can pair up with a blazer in a more casual way.
Design Process
What inspired me to create this was the “10 ways to (re)wear a dress” video by Ashley (aka “Best Dressed” on YouTube). She created a video showing 10 different ways you could wear a single dress. This inspired me to do the same with a beige blazer that I own. The purpose was to select a timeless and versatile piece that you can wear in many different styles.
The significance of the elements in my design is the simplicity. I wanted to create something simple and clean, and followed the color of my blog. This is a draft, so I do want to play around more with the layout and the images. Also, the photos used have not been edited or adjusted yet, so I do want to do that as well for my final.
Technical Detail
I created the photo elements of my project with the help of Michael Tran, who took all the photos of me. I also used the brush tool in Photoshop to create the illustration of a blazer. The process for construction my project was to create a simple look using photos and text and a plain white background.
